📍Our What 3 Words location is:

🌿 ///zaps.campfires.bend

📍We are on Google Maps as:

🌿 Dipple Farm Camping

📍Looking at a local map:

🌿 Dipple is in the zig-zag at the mid-point of the country lane between Ashmansworthy & Lane End Farm. It’s quite near the popular crossroads of Powler's Piece on the Bideford to Bradworthy road (which acts as an excellent navigation point to get to and from us via the better end of our lane).

📍What do we mean by “better end”?

🌿 In common with other areas we suffer from potholes. We do work with our local council but still find it difficult to keep up with pot hole growth and we highly recommend that you get to (and from) us from the south-eastern, Putford end of our lane by navigating to Powler’s Piece. The Putford end has been recently improved and although slightly bumpy avoids the pot holes at the north-western Ashmansworthy end of the lane. We suggest avoiding that end.

📍Getting to us from Cornwall and the West.

🌿 Set up your SatNav to travel to Powler’s Piece crossroads via Holsworthy and/ or Bradworthy. Our lane is the last left turn BEFORE Powler's Piece on the Bradworthy to Bideford road and opposite Lane End Farm. You’ll see a square blue weight restriction sign to confirm this.

Its a sharp turn. The road is slightly bumpy so take it slow, cross the bridge in the steep valley, Dipple Farm is on the left just after the valley.

📍Getting to us from South Devon and the East.

🌿 Set up your SatNav to travel to Powler’s Piece crossroads (via Stibb Cross or Bideford respectively). Follow the sign for Bradworthy. Take the first right turn after 500m (opposite Lane End Farm). When you see a white sign ahead start indicating to turn. It’s a sharp turn.

Take it slow along the lane, its slightly bumpy, cross the bridge in the steep valley, Dipple Farm is on the left just after the valley.

📍Getting to your accommodation once here.

🌿 Campsite. Drive past the farmhouse and turn left immediately after the house. Reception will be on your left and you can follow the track round to the right to the campsite.

🌿 Cottage. It is next to the farmhouse. You can park on the verge to unload and then park in your own parking space 15m down the hill.

🌿 Shepherds Hut. It is on the right as you emerge from the sharp turn coming out of the valley. You park on the hard standing and see the hut beyond the metal gate. There is no parking beyond the gate. Our farm is just up the hill.

📍Getting to local villages & Bideford once here.

🌿 To Woolsery. For Fish & Chips, The Farmers Arms Pub and village store.Set up your SatNav for Woolsery (long name Woolfardisworthy) via Powler’s Piece. You’ll pass through Alminstone and avoid many pot holes.

🌿 To Bradworthy. For the pub, petrol and village stores.Head down the hill from Dipple, turn right at the end of the lane. Stay on the road and you’ll arrive in the middle of the village square.

🌿 To Bideford. For a wander around our river port town. Head down the hill from Dipple, turn left at the end of the lane. Stay on the road (for 8 miles). At the T-junction turn left, stay on the road and you’ll arrive in town.

🌿 To ASDA, Bideford. For bigger shopping. Set your SatNav for ASDA via Powler’s Piece. Again, head down the hill, turn left at the end of the lane and follow the SatNav.
