Dipple Farm Camping (DFC) is the provider of this holiday. By making a booking, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions:

The Greener Camping Club

To comply with countryside planning policy, we operate as a Greener Camping Club members-only campsite. The Club was established by individuals passionate about sustainable, eco-friendly camping. When you book with us, you will be automatically enrolled as a member of the Club. Membership costs £12 per calendar year and grants access to some of the most environmentally friendly campsites in the UK. Your membership also supports the Club’s ‘Trees for Life’ initiative, which plants a tree for every new member.

Payment

  • A 50% deposit (conditionally refundable) is required to secure your booking. This includes the full £12 membership fee for the Greener Camping Club.

  • Provisional bookings are held for 3 days before release if no deposit is received.

  • The remaining balance is due six weeks before arrival. If not received, your booking will be cancelled.

  • For bookings made within six weeks of arrival, full payment is required at the time of booking.

  • Bookings are non-transferable to another family without prior written agreement.

  • We strongly recommend holiday insurance to cover cancellations.

Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellation by DFC

DFC reserves the right to cancel bookings due to extreme weather, ill health, fire, flooding, or any other extenuating circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, we will issue a full refund of any payments made. However, the Greener Camping Club membership fee is non-refundable.

Cancellation by You

  • If you cancel six weeks or more before arrival, we will refund your deposit minus a 20% admin fee and the £12 membership fee.

  • If you cancel less than six weeks before arrival, a refund is only possible if we can re-let your booking. If we succeed, we will refund the deposit and balance, minus a 20% admin fee.

  • If we cannot re-let your booking, no refund will be issued.

Cancellation Due to Covid-19

If you or a member of your party:

  • Test positive for Covid-19

  • Must self-isolate

  • Are awaiting test results

  • Are in a lockdown area and unable to travel

We will do our best to offer an alternative holiday date. If this is not possible, the Cancellation by You terms will apply.

Special Coronavirus Condition

If government restrictions force us to close, we ask that you consider holding your deposit as credit for up to 12 months, instead of requesting a refund. This helps us continue operating as a small business. If you postpone to the following year, your Greener Camping Club membership will be carried over.

Children & Safety

We encourage children to explore and play, but parents must supervise them at all times. Dipple Farm features open fires, rivers, meadows, and livestock, including horses, pigs, and sheep. While risks are minimal, DFC accepts no responsibility for injuries.

Arrival & Departure

  • Check-in: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM (contact us if arriving later).

  • Check-out: By 11:00 AM on departure day.

Vehicles & Parking

  • Speed limit: 5 mph.

  • Cars may be driven to pitches only for unloading and loading.

  • Campervans are only permitted on designated pitches.

  • During prolonged rain, you may be asked to park in the farmyard to avoid damaging the ground.

  • Wheelbarrows and trolleys are available for transporting belongings.

Respect for Others

  • We maintain a quiet campsite to enhance nature’s ambiance.

  • No loud music or amplified sound. Acoustic instruments are permitted before 10:00 PM.

  • No excessive noise after 10:00 PM.

  • Visitors returning late should park near the field gate to avoid disturbing others.

Recycling & Waste Disposal

  • All rubbish must be recycled. Separate glass, tins, plastic, paper, and food waste.

  • General waste bins are only for non-recyclables.

  • Failure to sort waste correctly may result in an additional disposal charge.

Campfires & Fire Safety

  • Fires are only permitted in designated firepits.

  • Never leave fires unattended.

  • Do not alter or enlarge firepits.

  • Consider wind conditions before lighting a fire.

  • DFC accepts no liability for injuries or damages caused by campfires.

Chemical Toilet Disposal

If using a portable toilet, only biodegradable, septic-safe chemicals are allowed. We offer an eco-friendly alternative on request. Formal, chlorine-based chemicals are prohibited. Please notify us before disposal so we can assist.

Day Visitors

Day visitors are only permitted with prior written agreement. Fees may apply.

Property Loss

DFC is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Smoking Policy

🚭 No smoking is permitted in any enclosed space (barns, kitchens, facilities). Please dispose of cigarette ends responsibly.

Dog Policy

🐶 No dogs are allowed on-site to protect local livestock, wildlife, and ensure a peaceful environment.

Extreme Weather Conditions

DFC can be affected by extreme weather. Strong winds and heavy rain are possible. Guests must ensure tents are sturdy and correctly pitched. Relocation to another pitch may be necessary. Refunds are not provided for bad weather.
